Why John McCain is Pulling Ahead

In Florida:

"Victory must still be secured, in Iraq and Afghanistan. Senator Obama opposed removing the dictator in Iraq, and now obstinately opposes the need to defend the young democracy in that country — even with victory so clearly in sight. He cites as his most courageous moment in public life a speech he gave in 2002 — against a war resolution on which he had no vote, on a matter of national security for which he bore no responsibility. He hopes you will forget the votes he cast when he actually did have responsibility ... his votes to prevent the strategy that is leading to victory, and to deny funding for the troops who are gaining that victory. And now he hopes that in the cloud of crisis at home you will forget the stakes in Iraq — the disaster and tragedy that would follow if American forces leave in retreat.

With terrorists still plotting new strikes across the world, millions of innocent lives are still at stake, including American lives. Our enemies' violent ambitions must still be prevented — by American vigilance, by diplomacy and cooperation with our partners, and by force of arms as a last resort. In his four years in the Senate, two of them spent running for president, Barack Obama has displayed some impressive qualities. But the question is whether this is a man who has what it takes to protect America from Osama bin Laden, al Qaeda, and other grave threats in the world. And he has given you no reason to answer in the affirmative.

Senator Joe Biden has a way of straying off message and stumbling on the truth, and his most recent warning bears close attention. He cautioned us — in fact, he guaranteed his listeners — that because he is untested Barack Obama would only invite an international crisis. And we know well what one of those crises could be — the success of the Iranian regime in its program of acquiring nuclear weapons. If such a thing were to happen, our troubles of today would dramatically escalate, as a nuclear-armed Iran threatened Israel or sparked an uncontrollable nuclear arms race across the region.

In the same way, my opponent assumes far more good will than is warranted from Kim Jong Il, the tyrant of North Korea ... Hugo Chavez, the leader of Venezuela who wishes to export instability to neighboring countries ... and the Castro brothers, who have given Cuba fifty years' worth of socialist misery and are still at it. In each case, Senator Obama presents his plan for direct talks as if no one before had ever considered that. He seems unaware that mere talk has been tried many times, to no avail and that our adversaries recognize such gestures as a sign of weakness.

They will draw similar assumptions from the plans, already proposed by the chairman of the House Finance Committee, Congressman Barney Frank, to cut defense spending by 25 percent. Even with our troops engaged in two wars, and with a force in need of rebuilding, we're getting a glimpse of what one-party rule would look like under Obama, Pelosi, and Reid. Apparently it starts with lowering our defenses and raising our taxes.

Our national security is dependent on our economic security, and the plans of a Democratic dominated Washington would harm both. Raising taxes and unilaterally renegotiating trade agreements as they have promised would make a bad economy even worse, and undermine our national security, even as they slash defense spending. At least when European nations chose the path of higher taxes and cutting defense, they knew that their security would still be guaranteed by America. But if America takes the same path, who will guarantee our security?

In an unusual refrain for a closing argument, Senator Obama has lately taken to telling America that on many great issues, quote, "we don't have to choose." It is a fitting motto for a man who throughout his career has so often voted "present," instead of giving a simple "yes" or "no." But ladies and gentlemen, there is a time for choosing. It is six days away. America has a decision to make, on these fateful questions and more. And when you cast your vote, my fellow citizens, let there be no confusion about the threats we face and the costs of failing to meet them.

I've had to make a few defining choices of my own along the way. One of them came last year, when I told you that I would rather lose an election than see my country lose a war. I chose that course because I know the quality of those who fight our wars, but also because I know the character of the American people. I believed that you, too, would persevere in support of our most fundamental interests in the world — and you did, America. You gave our troops time to complete their mission, and they almost have. And at a crucial hour in a vital cause, that has made all the difference. Because of that support, our troops will soon come home in victory.

We have passed through a difficult time, and more courage will be needed in the years ahead. But there is a direction to events, and the sacrifices of the present have not been in vain. We will build on our hard-won victories to extend the security of our nation and of every nation that seeks to live in freedom. We will not yield to intimidation, and by our strength we will prevent threats from turning into tragedies. This is America's work in the world, as it has always been in our finest moments. We are called still to spread liberty, to assure justice, to be the makers of peace. And this is the great work I will carry on as your president and commander in chief. Thank you very much."

Obama Taking Money From the PLO, Saudi princes and Communists Worldwide...ho, hum.

Obama has disabled every single verification system on his online donation system and like a political crack whore, is taking any amount from any donor for any reason at any time.

Perhaps it is fitting that he take vast donations from foreigners; after all, he's pledged to represent their interests first. They know it, and they're supporting their would-be President of the World.

How do I know this? The same way the Washington Post knows Obama's fraud rate "is only one percent"--a little birdy told me.

The Post didn't audit Obama--they simply parroted what the campaign told them and printed it as fact. Why don't you "reporters" just stay home and let the Obama campaign write all your stories for you? You're already half-way there.

This is not the paper that broke Watergate. Did you guys just take John Mitchell's word for it? If Obama broke into the Watergate today, the Post would be carrying His black bag, taping the door locks and warming up the Crown Vic getaway car in the parking garage. Oh, how the mighty have fallen in love.

While the McCain campaign is playing by the rules, Obama is a god unto himself, far above any mortal accountability. And he's about to use those ill-gotten gains to harangue the American people in an hour-long Castro-style Dis-infomercial.

Why not call a press conference instead?

Because there is a chance, however miniscule, that a reporter might ask a tough question...just kidding! No, it would be boring for most viewers to watch the Toady Press and the Arrogant Leader sit around discussing His awesomely awesome awesomeness.

But there's always the chance that Obama would screw up a "What's your favorite color, sir?"-question...and then that reporter would have all his personal records pawed through by Obama Brownshirts, as was done to Joe the Plumber. No wonder they've simply stopped questioning Dear, Dear, Precious Leader.

Note To The Gutless Press Corps:

Somebody's got to say it when the Battered Wife-Media won't.

The Battered Wife-Media: "He didn't really mean to blacken my eye and chip my tooth. Besides, it's my fault; I asked him a tough question about taxes after he had warned many times not to. I was nagging him. You know how he hates people prying into his business. And I don't have any right to know his business anyway. I know he loves me. It will get better when he gets that promotion, cos he promised me he would Change(tm)."

Obama: "Who you talkin' to, bitch? John McCain? Hang up that damn phone before I bust your lip!"

The Battered Wife-Media: "I gotta go. He needs me!" *click*

They always Change(tm) later, alright--for the worse.

Whatever testicles the press once posessed have receded into their bodies and they are now Wholly-Owned Eunuchs for Obama '08!

Edward R. Murrow my ass.

Never Say Never

Mark Twain:

"It will be conceded that a Christian's first duty is to God. It then follows, as a matter of course that it is his duty to carry his Christian code of morals to the polls and vote them. Whenever he shall do that, he will not find himself voting for an unclean man, a dishonest man. If Christians would vote their duty to God at the polls, they would carry every election, and do it with ease. Their prodigious power would be quickly realized and recognized, and afterward there would be no unclean candidates upon any ticket, and graft would cease. If the Christians of America could be persuaded to vote God and a clean ticket, it would bring about a moral revolution that would be incalculably beneficent. It would save the country."-(Colliers Magazine, Sept. 2, 1904)

When John and Barack Met Freddie and Fannie

Both candidates had written letters about the mortgage crisis, so this is one of those rare cases where a side-by-side comparison is available. But one candidate did more than write a letter while the other candidate actually did less.

Here is Sen. McCain's letter. And here is the Prophet Obama's legendary Letter From a Birmingham Holiday Inn, which he bragged about in two debates. Let's compare them.

First, the date. Senator McCain's letter was written on May 6, 2006, still in time to address the problem. Obama's "storm on the horizon" letter was written over a year later, after there was already an inch of water in the living room.

Second, the addressee; Sen. McCain's letter was addressed to the Senate Majority Leader and Banking & Housing committee chairman, asking that hearings be scheduled so legislation could be crafted. This, not endless bloviation, is a senator's actual job. Obama's letter was addressed to the Fed Chairman and the Treasury Secretary telling them how to do their jobs. An exercise blame-shifting, not problem-solving.

Third, an excerpt from the text of Senator McCain's statement:

It is vitally important that Congress take the necessary steps to ensure that these institutions benefit from strong and independent regulatory supervision, operate in a safe and sound manner, and are primarily focused on their statutory mission. More importantly, Congress must ensure that the American taxpayer is protected in the event either GSE should fail.

Odd; that doesn't sound like McCain is for deregulation as Democrats claim.

Obama's letter:

I would also urge you to facilitate a serious conversation about the following:

How to support independent community-based-organizations to provide counseling and work-out services to prevent foreclosure and preserve homeownership where practical.

Obama's answer: "Facilitating conversations" and sending more federal money to his voter-fraud wing, ACORN.

Fourth, the signatories. Senator McCain got 19 other senators to sign his letter. Obama couldn't find any supporters for his self-serving missive.

Fifth; the result. Senator McCain was able to reach across the aisle and garner the support necessary to pass his reform bill out of the Banking Committee.

But Obama and Reid killed those reforms, and filibustered any and all reforms until the system finally melted down. Why? Because the system was working perfectly for Obama; it was giving him huge donations, more than anyone else but the prime-rate pirate, Capt. Mortgage, aka, Chris Dodd.

It was enriching his economic advisors Franklin Raines and James Johnson beyond their wildest dreams.

Ideologically, it was forcing banks to make bad loans, a Democrat regulation designed to "help' poor people, despite the fact that it was hurting the very people it was designed to help.

So on one hand, with Senator McCain you get a timely and serious effort to accept the challenge and fix the problem through the appropriate channels, with bi-partisan support.

With Obama on the other hand, you have a very late and unserious partisan and self-serving effort to shift blame, in spite of the damage to constituents and to the country. And to stop anyone else from fixing the problem either, all because of runaway money, runaway politics and runaway ideology.

And that is our choice today: mature patriotism or juvenile socialism, Senator McCain or Senator Meltdown.

An Obama Military: Slash their budgets, thrash their weapons, bash their morale and trash their votes

Fresh from throwing our economy into meltdown, Chairman Barney Frank has pledged to slash our military by 25%. With Obama's assistance, Bonnie and his boyfriend at Fannie Mae personally looted that institution and drove the sub-prime disaster with their risky loan regulations--and they now want to melt down our military services too, as a way of securing an American defeat in Iraq.

And Obama is right there with them.

Democrats have howled that our military is "stretched too thin", "at the breaking point" and "lacking the equipment they desperately need". Their answer? Slash the military's budget! In the middle of a war!

You can't cut funding for Federal Sex Toy Subsidies without Democrats howling. Or at least wincing. In fact, if a program doesn't grow at 5% a year, that's a draconian cut that will force gay Palestinians to eat at segregated back alley lunch counters or something. All other programs are seemingly untouchable--except the military, which is the one true, undisputed, indispensible and singular responsibility of the Feddle Gummint!

Being Hussein Obama, pandering to the Professional Pacifists:

"I'm the only major candidate who opposed this war from the beginning, and as president, I will end it."--Not 'win it'--just 'end it'. Meaning 'lose it'.

"Second, I will cut tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending."--To Obama, all military spending is wasteful.

"I will cut investments in unproven missile defense systems."--He doesn't mean only the unproven ones--he means they're all unproven. We spent a lot of money and we can finally "hit a bullet with a bullet", but Obama wants to throw all that away. Too icky and scary and pro-American.

"I will not weaponize space."--Translation: I'll stand idly by as the Chinese put a satellite-killer into orbit or on the moon. But afterwards I'll send them a Strongly-Worded Letter!

"I will slow our development of future combat systems,"--to make sure we don't ever win again.

"and I will institute an independent defense priorities board to ensure that the Quadrennial Defense Review is not used to justify unnecessary spending."--Or any spending.

"Third, I will set a goal of a world without nuclear weapons. To seek that goal, I will not develop new nuclear weapons; I will seek a global ban on the production of fissile material, and I will negotiate with Russia to take our ICBMs off hair-trigger alert [already happened in the 90's] and to achieve deep cuts in our nuclear arsenals. You know where I stand."--Sure do; you stand with the thoughtful and accomplished professors William Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn from the neighborhood.

In other words, Obama would let our current nuclear arsenal decay into decrepitude.

Eisenhower was against excess defense spending. But he spent a long lifetime defending America. Obama has spent a short lifetime defending his anti-American friendships. Reagan wanted to end nuclear weapons. But he spent a lifetime advocating for a strong America. Obama has spent his brief career advocating himself.

Reagan also said "Trust--But Verify". The Obama Doctrine is more like Alfred E. Nueman's than Reagan's: "Trust. Why Verify?"

Obama's gutting of our nuclear arsenal while rogue regimes are building theirs up is wildly reckless and dangerous. Instead of encouraging other countries to forego their own nuclear programs, it would embolden our enemies to arm and aim for a toothless America and encourage even our friends to develop their own programs, since they could no longer count on our umbrella. Not to mention that Obama would not even want to honor commitments involving conventional forces. Obama's uncertain trumpet doesn't prevent wars--it guarantees them.

Speaking of gaurantees, why would we slash the military when Obama's own running mate has issued an absolute, iron-clad guarantee that their election would bring an attack on America?

As we speak, Democrats are hauling boxes of ballots to prisons so that rapists and killers can vote, while they are throwing the ballots of servicemen overseas into the trashcan.

A weak president and a weak America mean disaster in a dangerous world. They don't come any weaker than Barack Obama and his Defeatist Democrats.

Get off your Blessed Assurance and help John McCain today.

Obama: Arrest Guns, Not Criminals!

"But just because you have an individual right does not mean that the state or local government can't constrain the exercise of that right..."--B. Hussein Obama

Under that logic, local governments could choose whether or not to charge black people a poll tax.

Obama believes the Roe vs. Wade is a sacred, inviolable part of the Constitution--so much so, that in his mind, abortion is protected nationwide even after birth takes place. He thinks terrorists have an absolute, unquestionable Privacy Right to call 1-800-JIHAD unmolested.

But "the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" is a fungible, optional suggestion subject to local moods and whims.

Meanwhile, Obama called his friend's Bill Ayer's book on freeing young super-predators "a timely and searing account"! Another autobiography, maybe.

John Lott:

In fact, Obama has a long history of supporting city gun bans. The Associated Press described his vote on a gun-control bill in 2004: "He also opposed letting people use a self-defense argument if charged with violating local handgun bans by using weapons in their homes. The bill was a reaction to a Chicago-area man who, after shooting an intruder, was charged with a handgun violation."

No major-party presidential nominee has ever had as strong and consistent an anti-gun record as Obama. Here is a politician who supported a ban on handguns in 1996, backed a ban on the sale of all semiautomatic guns in 1998 (which would encompass most guns sold in the country), and advocated banning gun sales within five miles of a school or park in 2004 (a virtual ban on all gun stores). He also served on the board of the Joyce Foundation, the largest private funder of anti-gun research in the country.

This evidence should be sufficient, but I have yet another reason to be skeptical. I knew Obama during the mid-1990s, when we were both at the University of Chicago Law School. Indeed, when I introduced myself to him, he said, "Oh, you are the gun guy."

I responded, "Yes, I guess so." His response, as I recall it, was, "I don't believe that people should be able to own guns."

Not only did Obama flip-flop on the recent landmark DC gun case, he flip-flopped on flip-flopping.

Instead, the clarity of John McCain:

"Today's decision is a landmark victory for Second Amendment freedom in the United States. For this first time in the history of our Republic, the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms was and is an individual right as intended by our Founding Fathers. I applaud this decision as well as the overturning of the District of Columbia's ban on handguns and limitations on the ability to use firearms for self-defense.

"Unlike Senator Obama, who refused to join me in signing a bipartisan amicus brief, I was pleased to express my support and call for the ruling issued today. Today's ruling in District of Columbia v. Heller makes clear that other municipalities like Chicago that have banned handguns have infringed on the constitutional rights of Americans. Unlike the elitist view that believes Americans cling to guns out of bitterness, today's ruling recognizes that gun ownership is a fundamental right -- sacred, just as the right to free speech and assembly.

"This ruling does not mark the end of our struggle against those who seek to limit the rights of law-abiding citizens. We must always remain vigilant in defense of our freedoms. But today, the Supreme Court ended forever the specious argument that the Second Amendment did not confer an individual right to keep and bear arms."

You can't even list all the gun control Obama has supported; trigger locks, criminalizing the purchase of more than one gun in a month's time, even banning sportsmen from buying shotgun pellets at a competition to be used at that competition.

No wonder Obama screams at a crowd, repeatedly claiming he will not ban guns. He's trying to convince them by mere repitition of something he doesn't believe.

And even if the leopard somehow did change his spots and go against a lifetime record of banning guns, any judges he would appoint would overturn the recent court ruling in a heartbeat, doing the dirty work for him. We worked too long and fought too hard to secure this Constitution to let some socialist joker waltz through it with a bottle of White-Out and an eraser, editing out the Rights he despises.

Vote--and contribute--like your freedoms depend on it. They do.

"-ism it rich? Aren't we a pair?"

And don't Send In The Clown.

Mark Levin hobnails it:

There is a cult-like atmosphere around Barack Obama, which his campaign has carefully and successfully fabricated, which concerns me. The messiah complex. Fainting audience members at rallies. Special Obama flags and an Obama presidential seal. A graphic with the portrayal of the globe and Obama's name on it, which adorns everything from Obama's plane to his street literature. Young school children singing songs praising Obama. Teenagers wearing camouflage outfits and marching in military order chanting Obama's name and the professions he is going to open to them. An Obama world tour, culminating in a speech in Berlin where Obama proclaims we are all citizens of the world. I dare say, this is ominous stuff.

Even the media are drawn to the allure that is Obama. Yes, the media are liberal. Even so, it is obvious that this election is different. The media are open and brazen in their attempts to influence the outcome of this election. I've never seen anything like it. Virtually all evidence of Obama's past influences and radicalism — from Jeremiah Wright to William Ayers — have been raised by non-traditional news sources. The media's role has been to ignore it as long as possible, then mention it if they must, and finally dismiss it and those who raise it in the first place. It's as if the media use the Obama campaign's talking points — its preposterous assertions that Obama didn't hear Wright from the pulpit railing about black liberation, whites, Jews, etc., that Obama had no idea Ayers was a domestic terrorist despite their close political, social, and working relationship, etc. — to protect Obama from legitimate and routine scrutiny. And because journalists have also become commentators, it is hard to miss their almost uniform admiration for Obama and excitement about an Obama presidency. So in the tank are the media for Obama that for months we've read news stories and opinion pieces insisting that if Obama is not elected president it will be due to white racism.

When President John McCain takes the oath of office in January, it will not be because of racism, but two other "isms"; his patriotism and Obama's socialism.

Even their autobiographies tell the tale; McCain's "Faith of My Fathers" is about his family's long and continuing tradition of miltary service.

Obama's father was a Marxist. His substitute father was a Communist. His spiritual father is an Afro-Socialist racist who gave name to "The Audacity of Hope".

And Obama himself is such a socialist that he thinks "Dreams From My Father" should be subject to a 90% Federal Dream Inheritance Tax.

Obama's Genocide: His Own Personal Rwanda

FBI informant Larry Grathwohl on Weathermen Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn & Pals:

I asked, "Well, what is going to happen to those people we can't reeducate, that are diehard capitalists?" and the reply was that they'd have to be eliminated.

And when I pursued this further, they estimated they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these reeducation centers.

And when I say "eliminate," I mean "kill."

Twenty-five million people!

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees, from Columbia and other well-known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people.

And they were dead serious.

Obama let these sociopaths babysit his children. Does that give you confidence that he'll protect your children?

Although the Weathermen were unable to slaughter millions of Americans as they fondly dreamed, they were able to murder enough policemen to qualify for academic tenure.

In the normal course of events, Ayers and Dohrn would still be on Bomber's Row in Supermax prison with the Unabomber and Ramzi Yousef. But a liberal judge let them off because the FBI misbehaved. And now their star pupil hopes to appoint liberal judges and an FBI director.

Obama says it's cool because he was only eight when Ayers was bombing judges, cops and soldiers.

But he was 45 years old and already running for president when he campaigned for his Kenyan cousin, the genocidal Communist killer Raila Odinga.

After Odinga's landslide loss,

About 50 parishioners were locked into the Assemblies of God church before it was set ablaze. They were mostly women and children. Those who tried to flee were hacked to death by machete-wielding members of a mob numbering 2,000. ...

By mid-February 2008, more than 1,500 Kenyans were killed. Many were slain by machete-armed attackers. More than 500,000 were displaced by the religious strife. Villages lay in ruin. Many of the atrocities were perpetrated by Muslims against Christians. ...

Initially, Mr. Odinga was not the favored opposition candidate to stand in the 2007 election against President Mwai Kibaki, who was seeking his second term. However, he received a tremendous boost when Sen. Barack Obama arrived in Kenya in August 2006 to campaign on his behalf. Mr. Obama denies that supporting Mr. Odinga was the intention of his trip, but his actions and local media reports tell otherwise.

Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama were nearly inseparable throughout Mr. Obama's six-day stay. The two traveled together throughout Kenya and Mr. Obama spoke on behalf of Mr. Odinga at numerous rallies.

"Kenyans are now yearning for Change," he declared. The intent of Mr. Obama's remarks and actions was transparent to Kenyans - he was firmly behind Mr. Odinga.

Mr. Odinga and Mr. Obama had met several times before the 2006 trip. Reports indicate Mr. Odinga visited Mr. Obama during trips to the U.S. in 2004, 2005 and 2006. Mr. Obama sent his foreign policy adviser Mark Lippert to Kenya in early 2006 to coordinate his summer visit.

John McCain may have voted with George Bush 90% of the time, but Barack Obama voted for Raila Odinga 110% of the time. "Inseparable", indeed.

But have you heard Obama apologize for his part in creating Ethnic Cleansing in Kenya by supporting a Communist thug, cousin or not? Have you ever even heard any of our alleged "reporters" ask Obama about his intimate involvement and his dubious judgement?

It might be almost as important as Sarah Palin's shoes.

Barack's Excellent Foreign Policy Adventure!

With a bullhorn in his hand, Obama yelled:

"The people have to suffer over corruption perpetrated by government officials... Kenyans are now yearning for Change."

They got "Change", alright.

You probably don't know this because you read the papers and watch the news, but in 2006, Barack Obama got on a plane and flew half-way around the world to campaign in a presidential election for Raila Odinga.

Who is this Mandingo guy? He's a Communist for starters. As in educated in East Germany and named his kid 'Fidel Castro". And he's Barack Obama's cousin, a member of Obama's Marxist father's tribal group.

Mango-dingo was so hungry for power, he cut a deal with the minority Islamists to let them impose Islamic Law on the whole country in exchange for their support. Still Obamingo lost the election.

But elections never really end for Communists. Odungheap sent his machete-wielding thugs out to burn Christian churches and hack thousands of people's heads off--you know, just like a Republican rally.

For his butchery, Odingleberry was just awarded the number #2 spot in Kenya's government.

And Odinga owes it all to his cousin Barack Obama.

This is the single and singular foreign policy accomplishment of the Democrat candidate for president--yet the Silence of the Lambs-Media won't mention it. And the candidate won't talk about it.

Be proud of your success, Senator! Tell us all about your foreign policy "brilliance"!

Odd; we were told that just the mere presence of Barack would make the flowers open, the bees buzz and peace would flow like sweet honey from the rock. Yet the only thing flowing is the blood from the severed necks of the genocide victims of Obama's preferred candidate and cousin.

Also odd; every time you turn around with Obama, there's another Communist there at his side. Funny how that works ...and keeps working. Just another guy from the neighborhood, Senator?

This is the Marx-flavored "Change" Obama would inflict on America and the utterly failed and disatrous foreign policy we would suffer under for years. No, thanks.

Vote American instead.

Weakness is Provocative

than Obama/Biden.

We saw this already in the Russian/Georgian crisis, when Obama told both the rapist and the rape victim to behave themselves.

"Mark my words. It will not be six months before the world tests Barack Obama like they did John Kennedy. The world is looking. We're about to elect a brilliant 47-year old senator president of the United States of America. Remember I said it standing here if you don't remember anything else I said. Watch, we're gonna have an international crisis, a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy."

We're going to elect an accomplished life-long patriot president, not a paper-thin Socialist boy-man. But, yes, Joe, if we did elect your Messiah, every thug and dictator in the world would attack because Obama is weak and weak by design, weak by inclination and weak by choice.

“I think Joe sometimes engages in rhetorical flourishes.”
And I think Joe sometimes engages in telling the truth in spite of years of practice in doing otherwise.

“We are going to face a number of threats and tests and challenges because for the last eight years we’ve had a policy, a bad set of policies, that have resulted in two unresolved wars, bin Laden and al-Qaeda communicating regularly and training folks to potentially attack America...”

"Potentially"? They already did, Your "Brilliancy".

Obama's saying that if we're attacked, it will be Bush's fault for fighting two wars. They haven't even let us vote yet and they're are already making pre-emptive excuses for their scheduled failures.

You can't tell me someone loves America who spent the last quarter-century in the pews listening to his pastor screaming "GOD DAMN AMERICA!" at the top of his lungs. Or palling around with Communist Cop-Killers who bombed every institution you now hope to lead--and say they'd do it again! Sorry--that doesn't say 'love of country' to me.

Obama doesn't love this country--he merely tolerates it. It's too deeply flawed. America is so bad, he charges "Racism!" whenever he gets a library fine or it rains on his picnic.

One does not defend that which he only "tolerates". One only truly defends that which he loves. To elect Obama therefore is to leave America weak and defenseless in a dangerous world.

Instead, Vote McCain; he's already defended you with every bone in his body.

The Maverick vs. Unicorn Boy

"The national media has written us off. Senator Obama is measuring the drapes, and planning with Speaker Pelosi and Senator Reid to raise taxes, increase spending, and concede defeat in Iraq. But they forgot to let you decide. My friends, we've got them just where we want them.

What America needs in this hour is a fighter; someone who puts all his cards on the table and trusts the judgment of the American people. I have fought for you most of my life. There are other ways to love this country, but I've never been the kind to do it from the sidelines.

I know you're worried. America is a great country, but we are at a moment of national crisis that will determine our future. Will we continue to lead the world's economies or will we be overtaken? Will the world become safer or more dangerous? Will our military remain the strongest in the world? Will our children and grandchildren's future be brighter than ours?

My answer to you is yes. Yes, we will lead. Yes, we will prosper. Yes, we will be safer. Yes, we will pass on to our children a stronger, better country. But we must be prepared to act swiftly, boldly, with courage and wisdom.

I know what fear feels like. It's a thief in the night who robs your strength.

I know what hopelessness feels like. It's an enemy who defeats your will.

I felt those things once before. I will never let them in again. I'm an American. And I choose to fight. Don't give up hope. Be strong. Have courage. And fight.

Fight for a new direction for our country. Fight for what's right for America.

Fight to clean up the mess of corruption, infighting and selfishness in Washington.

Fight to get our economy out of the ditch and back in the lead.

Fight for the ideals and character of a free people.

Fight for our children's future.

Fight for justice and opportunity for all.

Stand up to defend our country from its enemies.

Stand up, stand up, stand up and fight. America is worth fighting for. Nothing is inevitable here. We never give up. We never quit. We never hide from history. We make history.

Now, let's go win this election and get this country moving again."

Plumber Crazy

Mark the Pundit on Joe the Plumber:

"We need you down here checking out this Joe the Plumber," editors barked to journalists.
"But I'm this close to wrapping up the Wasilla Town Library banned-book investigation!"
"Forget it! The Atlantic Monthly is claiming Joe the Plumber is Trig's real father. We can't get behind on this. Get to Minneapolis Airport. Joe the Plumber was seen in the bathroom with Sen. Larry Craig."
"Yes, but he was installing a stopcock."
"Look, you went to Columbia School of Journalism. This is what we bold, courageous journalists do. We're the conscience of the nation. We speak truth to plumber."

UPDATE: As Free Speakers, we've been remiss in failing to congratulate Mark Steyn on the recent "guilty" verdict--that is, Steyn was acquitted, but the Canadian Human Rights-Prevention Commission was guilty as hell.

So congratulations, sir, and long may you "violate human rights" by simply having an opinion not pre-approved by the Leftist Pre-Thought Police. Their motto: "It's Not Fascism...When We Do It!"

The Secret Constitution of Barack Ob/Gyn

During the last debate, at least three court decisions were discussed. You will be shocked, shocked to learn that Obama lied about all of them.

Lie #1.)
"If it sounds incredible that I would vote to withhold lifesaving treatment from an infant, that's because it's not true."

Yeah, it is true, liar.

Abortions were being performed at so-called "Christ" Hospital in Chicago. Occasionally, an infant would survive the assault. These babies were persons, completely separated from the "mothers", the umbilical cord cut. They were laying there whimpering and in need of medical assistance. Instead, they were thrown in the broom closet to die.

Obama voted to continue this practice.

That makes him even more extremely pro-abortion than the NARAL harridans or the organ-harvesters of the Planned Parenthood Camps.

His Constitution confers on the woman a Right to Abort and that Right is meaningless without the Right to a Corpse. Obama's Secret Constitution demands those living babies die. It is 4th Trimester Infanticide.

Lie #2.)
"With respect to partial-birth abortion, I am completely supportive of a ban on late-term abortions, partial-birth or otherwise, as long as there's an exception for the mother's health and life, and this did not contain that exception."

I'm surprised Obama even tried this discredited dodge, it has been so thoroughly debunked. But a shameless carnival barker is always able to reel in some fresh suckers in a new town.

A "health" exception means also "mental health". So if a woman claims the pregnancy is "mentally stressful", then she is entitled to a partial-birth abortion. Obama's Secret Constitution allows a ban--as long as it is completely gutted by a "health" exception.

Lie #3.)
"Senator McCain and I disagreed recently when the Supreme Court made it more difficult for a woman named Lilly Ledbetter to press her claim for pay discrimination.

For years, she had been getting paid less than a man had been paid for doing the exact same job. And when she brought a suit, saying equal pay for equal work, the judges said, well, you know, it's taken you too long to bring this lawsuit, even though she didn't know about it until fairly recently.

We tried to overturn it in the Senate. I supported that effort to provide better guidance to the courts; John McCain opposed it.

I think that it's important for judges to understand that if a woman is out there trying to raise a family, trying to support her family, and is being treated unfairly, then the court has to stand up, if nobody else will. And that's the kind of judge that I want."

In other words, he wants a judge like himself; one that will trash the Actual Constitution, substitute his own sense of fairness in place of the law and discard as technicalities things like statutes of limitations.

Good. I'm glad to see Obama supports prosecuting his babysitters Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, who got off on technicalities. We should waive any statutes of limitations and prosecute them immediately.

After all, those policemen they murdered were just "out there trying to raise a family, trying to support their families, and were being treated unfairly, so the court has to stand up, if nobody else will. And that's the kind of judge that I want".

But it gets even worse. Ted Frank explains:
This should be noncontroversial. Statutes of limitations are important for justice. Without a statute of limitations, someone can sue for very old alleged injuries, and a defendant would not have a fair chance to defend herself. (Ledbetter sued over her pay after she was retired!) Memories fade, evidentiary documents are discarded, people change employers. If an employee can wait until a middle manager of years ago died before accusing the company of discrimination, justice is impossible. Yet some in Congress, upset at the result in 'Ledbetter', propose a statute that would entirely abolish the statute of limitations. The House even passed such a law, though the Senate refrained once President Bush threatened to veto the bill.

Ironically, no change in the law was necessary for Ledbetter to recover. As...the five-justice majority stated, there already exists a law that would have permitted Ledbetter to sue. The Equal Pay Act specifically bans sex discrimination in pay and has a longer statute of limitations. But Ledbetter's attorney chose to sue under the more difficult law, Title VII.

Similarly, those victimized by racial discrimination need not rely on the 180-day statute of limitations for Title VII. 42 U.S.C. § 1981 has a four-year statute of limitations for intentional racial discrimination in contracts.

What is really happening is that special interest groups hoping for an unprecedented expansion of liability are misrepresenting the effect of the Ledbetter case to create support for their legislation.

In other words, Mrs. Ledbetter didn't so much hire lawyers to recover damages as the lawyers "hired" her to bust the statute of limitations, harvesting millions for trial lawyers. Nancy Pelosi's National Disgrace Congress was in on the scam and waiting with legislation.

The 'Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act' wasn't about fair pay at all. It was about enacting a Windfall Profits Act for trial lawyers.

Obama would have known all this. Regardless, he is still on record as wanting judges who will simply impose their own Leftism on the rest of us in defiance of the law.

There has been some good analysis of what a Democrat legislative agenda would look like--it's like Castro on steroids. But the real action would be in the courts, as they would be assigned to legislate all the truly extreme Leftism that even politicians are afraid to touch.

That would include Speech Rationing, Gun Bans, Same-Sex Marriage (to be followed in time by Polygamy and Polyamory). Race Preferences Today, Tomorrow and Forever. Submersion in International Laws and Treaties to bind, diminish and leave the United States so hollowed-out that it might as well be abolished.

It's already all there, written in the invisible ink of Mr. Obama's Secret Constitution.

The Lighter Side of Fascism!

By which I mean the futile, unconstitutional, reckless, illegal and criminal Global War on Joe the Plumber.

As usual, Mark Steyn had the best quip on Barack O'Mussolini and the Attack of His Girly Minions:
"Barack will make the drains run on time."

Speaking of plumbing issues, Doug Ross has this from the Boston Globe:

Allison Davis, a major fund-raiser for Obama’s US Senate campaign and a former lead partner at Obama’s former law firm. Davis, a developer, was involved in the creation of Grove Parc and has used government subsidies to rehabilitate more than 1,500 units in Chicago, including a North Side building cited by city inspectors last year after chronic plumbing failures resulted in raw sewage spilling into several apartments.

The residents evidently should have called Joe the Plumber, not Barack Obama. Because instead of organizing the community against the slumlords, Obama organized with all the slumlords against the residents in order to raise campaign cash for himself. He sold the brothers out.

“In the winter I can feel the cold air coming through the walls and the sockets,” said Anthony Frizzell, 57, who has lived for almost two decades in a Rezmar building on South Greenwood Avenue. “They didn’t insulate it or nothing.”

Sharee Jones, who lives in another former Rezko building one block away, said her apartment was rat-infested for years.

“You could hear them under the floor and in the walls, and they didn’t do nothing about it,” Jones said.

The problems came to public attention in a dramatic way in 2004, after a sport utility vehicle driven by a suburban woman trying to buy drugs struck one of the buildings, causing it to collapse. City inspectors arrived in the ensuing glare, finding a long list of code violations, leading city officials to urge the federal government to seize the complex.

In the midst of the uproar, a small group of Lawndale residents gathered to rally against the Democratic candidate for the US Senate, Barack Obama.

The organizers had a simple message: Cecil Butler had donated $3,000 to Obama’s campaign. Habitat had close ties to Obama and Obama had remained silent about Lawndale’s plight.

Paul Johnson, who helped to organize the protest, said Obama must have known about the problems.

“How didn’t he know?” said Johnson. “Of course he knew. He just didn’t care.”

Of cour$e he care$, Mr. Johnson. Just not about you. That's why a Chicago slumlord is still running his campaign to this very day. Take a look at the pictures--it's like Mogadishu.

It looks like Joe the Plumber now has his own Fight the Smears website. heh. It's good to see ordinary citizens stand up to L'il Benito of Chicago.

By the way, this whole "1984"-ish Public Colonoscopy of a regular Joe who Dared To Question the Fearless Leader is but a foretaste of what it will be like if Obama and his Democrat pals do away with the secret ballot for union elections.

Just as the Potemkin Press is "helping" Joe 'vote right' by poring over his tax records, divorce records, employment records and voting records, Tony and Guido will look over your shoulders and help you 'vote right' in any unionizing election.

Except instead of publishing your medical records, they'll create more entries on those medical records should you choose incorrectly. Even ultra-liberal George McGovern can't stomach this rank, brute fascism.

But Obama does.

Not All Opinions on Leadership Are Created Equal

1 A man who remains stiff-necked after many rebukes
will suddenly be destroyed—without remedy.
2 When the righteous thrive, the people rejoice;
when the wicked rule, the people groan.
4 By justice a king gives a country stability,
but one who is greedy for bribes tears it down.
7 The righteous care about justice for the poor,
but the wicked have no such concern.
8 Mockers stir up a city,
but wise men turn away anger.
9 If a wise man goes to court with a fool,
the fool rages and scoffs, and there is no peace.
12 If a ruler listens to lies,
all his officials become wicked.
25 Fear of man will prove to be a snare,
but whoever trusts in the LORD is kept safe.
26 Many seek an audience with a ruler,
but it is from the LORD that man gets justice.
27 The righteous detest the dishonest;
the wicked detest the upright.

"I'm God and I approved this message."

Some free advice from a thinking American American Thinker:

"And so the public has not been educated. A Center-Right Country -- fixated on ecomomic anxiety -- is poised to elect a proto - Marxist revolutionary with strongly racist, anti Western and anti Semitic impulses, a man who will fill Washington's most powerful posts with thousands of the Democrat Party's most virulently anti-American, disloyal and reflexively destructive elements. ...

McCain must -- someone must -- force the electorate to take in the reality of Barack Obama. McCain's tentative efforts of last week to do so -- notably his discussion of Obama's long and deep association with the violent Marxist traitor Bill Ayers -- are already being subjected to withering attack from the usual suspects as racist and inflammatory.

Racist they are not. Inflammatory they are. Highly relevant they are, as well. ...

Does the old McCain have the bravery of the young McCain? ...

Obama's voting record in the United States Senate reveals him to be the farthest left of any member of that body. ...

Obama is an abortion radical, who opposes any restriction on abortion up to and including infanticide; measured by his public statements Obama is an advocate of homosexual marriage (Obama opposes California proposition 8, which would overturn the California Supreme Court decision imposing homosexual marriage by judicial decree).

Under an Obama presidency all restrictions on abortion will be removed, and United States Supreme Court Justices will be appointed who will impose homosexual marriage in every state of the nation.

The most important two political associations during Obama's twenty years in Chicago...were with the racist, white-hating, America- hating Jeremiah Wright; and with the unreconstructed violent Marxist revolutionary William Ayres... These two close associations disqualify Obama from the Presidency. Period.

America cannot afford to guess which part of Wright and Ayres' views Obama shares, and which he does not share. Especially when Obama has so manifestly refused to discuss these relationships honestly. It offends our intelligence for Obama to say, as he has, that he did not know about these men's notorious deeds and views. ...

Without exception, all of our enemies -- Al Qaida, Hamas, Hezbollah, the government of Iran, Hugo Chavez, and Communist Cuba -- are fervently hoping and praying that Obama is elected. What do they know? What does this mean?

Has America ever in its history faced this circumstance -- a major party candidate endorsed by all of our enemies during wartime?

After John McCain articulates his economic proposals these three themes must form the core of his campaign for the duration: Obama's voting record and public positions, Obama's atrocious closest associations, and Obama's support by all of America's enemies. All of this must begin with the final debate.

The response by the Obama campaign, and by his abettors in the MSM, will be purple rage. ...The alternative would be a quiet, polite loss.

Ya' know, this guy has more Communists in his life than Oliver Stone eating lunch at the Castro Brother's Palace N' Prison.

Obama's like some rogue presidential candidate on "24", only we'd roll our eyes if it were just fiction.

He goes to Kenya with a bullhorn in his hand to campaign for a machete-weilding Islamo-Marxist just like dear old Dad.

He installs his personal banker from al Capone Savings & Loan as Treasurer of Illinois.

He dines often with the Arafat PLO flunky down the street.

His preacher is a black segregationist. His financier is in custody singing like a bird to the Feds. His political mentor is a cop-killer pal of Hugo Chavez. You couldn't make this stuff up. This smooth-talking liar is as crooked as they come.

John McCain better Bauer-up. And so had we.

Driving Miss Muhammed Atta

From the Democrat Primary debates earlier this century:

The late Tim Russert: "...Governor of New York Eliot Spitzer has proposed giving driver's licenses to illegal immigrants. ...Why does it make a lot of sense to give an illegal immigrant a driver's license?"

Chris Dodd: ...The idea that we're going to extend this privilege here of a driver's license I think is troublesome, and I think the American people are reacting to it. ...But a license is a privilege, and that ought not to be extended, in my view.

Hillary: Blahblahblah

Brain Williams: Senator Obama, why are you nodding your head?

Obama: Well, I was confused on Senator Clinton's answer. I can't tell whether she was for it or against it. And I do think that is important. One of the things that we have to do in this country is to be honest about the challenges that we face. Immigration is a difficult issue. But part of leadership is not just looking backwards and seeing what's popular or trying to gauge popular sentiment. It's about setting a direction for the country. And that's what I intend to do as president.

Russert: Uh...are you for it or against it?

Obama: I think that it is the right idea, and I disagree with Chris because there is a public safety concern. We can make sure that drivers who are illegal come out of the shadows, that they can be tracked, that they are properly trained, and that will make our roads safer."

Yes--as will our properly-inflated tires.

Maybe we should give them medical licenses, pilot's licenses, casino licenses and liquor licenses, too. Because nothing says safety like a drunken, high-rolling Pashtun-speaking gynecologist fly-boy.

The Way of Rights

From the second debate:

BROKAW: Is health care in America a privilege, a right, or a responsibility? Senator McCain?

MCCAIN: I think it's a responsibility, in this respect, in that we should have available and affordable health care to every American citizen, to every family member. And with the plan that -- that I have, that will do that.

But government mandates I -- I'm always a little nervous about. But it is certainly my responsibility. It is certainly small-business people and others, and they understand that responsibility. American citizens understand that. Employers understand that.

But they certainly are a little nervous when Senator Obama says, if you don't get the health care policy that I think you should have, then you're going to get fined. And, by the way, Senator Obama has never mentioned how much that fine might be. Perhaps we might find that out tonight. ...

BROKAW: Privilege, right or responsibility?

OBAMA: Well, I think it should be a right for every American. In a country as wealthy as ours, for us to have people who are going bankrupt because they can't pay their medical bills -- for my mother to die of cancer at the age of 53 and have to spend the last months of her life in the hospital room arguing with insurance companies because they're saying that this may be a pre-existing condition and they don't have to pay her treatment, there's something fundamentally wrong about that.

That sounds good at first blush. But is it true? Is health care, or should it be, a "right"?

I want everyone to get the care they need. And I think we should provide care to those who really need it. But that doesn't make it a "right". Or mean that anything goes.

Our Founders spoke of rights in the Declaration and the Constitution. But they spoke of moral and political principles, not of goods and services. Health care, after all is a service.

That is more akin to Marxism, a materialist philosophy which is essentially an argument about how bosses and workers will divvy up the loot.

A right to things implies that I am entitled to make my neighbors pay for that thing and obligates me to chip in for others. Indeed, if it's a true right, I'm entitled even if I can pay for the thing myself.

Here's the problem; there is no end to material "rights".

First, I have a right to income--and let's not be chintzy here! Then I have a right to food. I like to dine out. Also clothing. New clothing. Four times a year. Housing. With land. I'm afraid I'll require a home on both coasts, one in the Rockies and a fishing shack on the Gulf. With a boat, cheapskates.

Also a right to an education. Pre-pre-pre-school through a Doctorate degree. I figure about 25 years or so. That way, I can work at my job--also my right--for four or five years before I retire on the generous pension you people owe me--again, my right. I also have a right to energy. And free cable, telephone and internet.

Now let's talk transportation. First, I'm a provincial ignorant American, so I'll need to travel the world. I'll write, I promise. And after my paid vacations, and after you provide me a sensible Mercedes, a '60 T-Bird would prove your innate deceny, I think.

And we'll have fun, fun, fun, 'til our Federal Sugar Daddy takes the T-Bird away.

As I said, there is no end to it. And if your still not sure, remember this:

In essence, Democrats just tried to make credit and homeownership a "right". Result: world-wide financial meltdown. But other than that, it's working fine.

As I said, I want people to have the care they need. But I also want them to have their birthrights and Constitutional rights. Liberals keep finding new rights and are hell-bent on dissolving the old ones.

That's why McCain's approach is vastly superior. Yuval Levin:
The case for McCain's plan can be made very plainly: If you like your coverage as it is, the plan will let you keep it and you will pocket a little more money at tax time. If you don't like your coverage now, the plan will give you a lot more options to choose from and let you use the same money your employer now uses to pay for them. And, if you don't have insurance today, the McCain plan will offer you more options, reduce costs in the market for individual insurance, and put you $5,000 closer to having health insurance. Obama's plan would push tens of millions of people out of private insurance they like and into a vast government program. It would, moreover, raise taxes on hiring in hard economic times and break the federal budget.

So here's to your health. And your Rights. And whenever I talk of rights, I like to mention another word: duties.

John McCain:
I don't believe that -- did we hear the size of the fine?

Keepin' it Realtor

versus The Pirates of Pennsylvannia Avenue:

"WOMAN: I'm a realtor witnessing firsthand the effect the mortgage crisis has had on many people's lives. Will you assure us that, as president, you will take immediate action to investigate, prosecute, and name the names of the people actually responsible?

MCCAIN: I will. And it is already a matter of record that Democrat members of Congress fought against reform, and it's a matter of record and hearings that they said everything was fine. Senator Obama, a year ago, said, these kinds of subprime loans are, quote, "fine with him." And the fact is that the same people that are now claiming credit for this rescue are the same ones that were willing coconspirators in causing this problem that it is, and you know their names, and you will know more of their names. Congressman Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd are two of them. (wild applause)"

This is exactly the kind of honest and hard-hitting contrast we need, and exactly what elections are for. Democrats are howling because it's true, and they've even got a few hand-wringing, bed-wetting "Republicans" to join them in bemoaning the loss of the "old", decent John McCain.

Bull. The In-the-Tank Media is endlessly fascinated by sewer bonds in Wasilla, but completely uninterested in the Chicago mobsters Obama has endorsed. Republican candidates MUST prybar these issues into the national debate because the Wholly-Owned Media has abrogated their responsibilities and now functions as just another arm of the DNC.

It's like an episode of "What's My Line" in which the Media don't want the contestant's true identity revealed until the day after the election.

The Compliant Poodle Press is full of stories about hot-headed Republicans--who may or may not be plants. Remember those Democrats who accused Bush of plotting 9/11 (or humoring those who did)? They hinted, or said outright, that he blew the levees in New Orleans. And they celebrated Bush's possible assassination in film, fiction and song.

Well, they're now concerned about the tone of our civil discourse. I am touched. Really. And I want you to stop it.

There is far too much at stake for our candidates to just phone it in and play by the Democrat Media's rules and on the Democrat Media's turf.

If you've got your facts straight, there is no dishonor in hammering these clowns like they were in a bad circus act. In fact, they are.

And the American people deserve to have it pointed out.

*Q: What's the difference between Obama's story and his underwear?
A: He only changes his underwear daily.

*After Obama said Governor Palin was 'only a mayor', she suggested he was 'only a Community Organizer', for which she was labeled RACIST!(tm.). Q: So when did it suddenly become okay to diss Community Organizers? A: When Obama needed to distance himself from the C.ommunity O.rganizers at A.C.O.R.N. and his long history of assisting the sub-prime and vote-fraud organization. Another one under the bus!

*Since mentioning the fact that Bill Ayers is a terrorist is RACIST!(tm.), could we just ask this: Would Bill Ayers make a good Secretary of Education in an Obama administration? If not, why not?

*Bernadine's old friend, Michelle:
“I don’t know anyone in Chicago who’s heavily involved in education policy who doesn’t know Bill Ayers.”
--And I don't know anyone in Caracas or Havana who's heavily involved in education policy who doesn't know him either.

*You Stay Classy, John Lewis!: After mentioning John Lewis as one of his heroes at Saddleback, Rep. Lewis returned the favor by calling John McCain a RACIST!(tm.) and equating him to segregationist Gov. George Wallace. Racism in America now consists simply of disagreeing with Barack Obama.

Ya' know, Congressman, if it takes a classless, low-rent, unprincipled and dishonest approach to defend somebody, perhaps that's a reflection on the character of the defended. In any event, demagoguery is an admission of weakness and the opposite of leadership.

*What's RACIST!(tm.)? According to Obama, Bill Clinton is. Ditto Hillary. Also his own grandmother. Small-town Americans, where they cling bitterly to guns and God. Mentioning Bill Ayers. Or Community Organizers. Also anyone who has ever registered Republican, voted Republican, known a Republican or used the word Republican in a sentence. This is only a partial list. Perhaps Obama could do us a favor and release a list of the one or two things that are NOT considered RACIST!(tm.)--realizing, of course, that the list would change hourly as the political needs of the candidate evolve.

*Jenny Backus, Democrat strategerist:
"The problem is the messenger. If you want to start throwing fire bombs, you don't send out the fluffy bunny to do it. I think people don't take Sarah Palin seriously."
--Well, when I want to start throwing fire bombs, I send out the pros, Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn. But I try not to schedule it on evenings when they're having dinner at the Obamas. Or, as Tony and I like to call it, the Obama/Rezko residence.

"We cannot allow Iran to get a nuclear weapon. It would be a game-changer in the region. Not only would it threaten Israel, our strongest ally in the region and one of our strongest allies in the world, but it would also create a possibility of nuclear weapons falling into the hands of terrorists. And so it's unacceptable. And I will do everything that's required to prevent it."
Really? Well then, try this; change "Iran" to "Iraq":

"We cannot allow Iraq to get a nuclear weapon.

Like everyone, Obama believed Iraq had WMDs--and he still opposed doing something about it. So why would he do something about Iran?

Why did Obama assume Ayers was “rehabilitated”? Ayers & Dohrn were given cushy professorships precisely because they WEREN’T rehabilitated. Liberals ALWAYS think criminals are rehabilitated. As Al Gore pointed out, that’s why Dukakis let Willie Horton out for weekend crime sprees. It was a braindead policy which even Massachusetts abandoned. But Obama wants to bring it back.

Q: In Obama's Beautiful, Beautiful Mind, what's the difference between John McCain and Bill Ayers?
A: He thinks Bill Ayers is the reformer and John McCain is the mad '60's bomber.

When Weird Al Met B. Hussein al Weirdo

"Another One Under the Bus"
(sung to the tune of Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust")

Ayers rolls easily down the street
It was high time that he went
I tossed him from the winder
cuz' he was startin' to hinder
my quest for president

Are you ready
to defenestrate?
Are you clinging to the edge of your seat?
Cuz' if someone makes a fuss
I'll toss you from my bus
like a pancake flat in the street

(bump, bump, ba-bump) Another one under the bus
(bump, bump, ba-bump) Another one under the bus
And another one splats
And another one's flat
Another one under the bus

Well I ain't just hintin'
I tossed the Clintons
And I can toss you, too
My own Grandmomma,
Pentagon bombers,
anyone who makes me lose

Bernadine Dohrn, fallin' nuts from ACORN,
as Raines & Johnson must
Any one who brings me down
hears the Greyhound sound
of me leavin' them in the dust.

(bump, bump, ba-bump) Another one under the bus
(bump, bump, ba-bump) Another one under the bus
And another one splats
And another one's flat
Another one under the bus

Driver drive faster
cuz' I think I see my pastor
and he's reachin' for a microphone
Here comes Tony Rez
and he's wearing a fez
and he thinks he owns half my home

You may be a mad bomber
but I'm Obamar
and I got to be Commander in Chief
Khalidi's comin for dinner
but now I think he's a sinner
so I better just order Chinese.

(bump, bump, ba-bump) Another one under the bus
(bump, bump, ba-bump) Another one under the bus
And another one splats
And another one's flat

Sarah Palin

where they still "cling bitterly to God and guns"...and life:

"In this same spirit, as defenders of the culture of life, John McCain and I believe in the goodness and potential of every innocent life. I believe the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are least able to defend and speak for themselves. And who is more vulnerable, or more innocent, than a child?

When I learned that my son Trig would have special needs, I had to prepare my heart for the challenges to come. At first I was scared, and Todd and I had to ask for strength and understanding. But I can tell you a few things I’ve learned already.

Yes, every innocent life matters. Everyone belongs in the circle of protection. Every child has something to contribute to the world, if we give them that chance. There are the world’s standards of perfection … and then there are God’s, and these are the final measure. Every child is beautiful before God, and dear to Him for their own sake.

As for our beautiful baby boy, for Todd and me, he is only more precious because he is vulnerable. In some ways, I think we stand to learn more from him than he does from us. When we hold Trig and care for him, we don’t feel scared anymore. We feel blessed.

It’s hard to think of many issues that could possibly be more important than who is protected in law and who isn’t – who is granted life and who is denied it. So when our opponent, Senator Obama, speaks about questions of life, I listen very carefully.

I listened when he defended his unconditional support for unlimited abortions. He said that a woman shouldn’t have to be – quote – “punished with a baby.” He said that right here in Johnstown –“punished with a baby” – and it’s about time we called him on it. The more I hear from Senator Obama, the more I understand why he is so vague and evasive on the subject. Americans need to see his record for what it is. It’s not negative or mean-spirited to talk to about his record. Whatever party you belong to, there are facts you need to know.

Senator Obama has voted against bills to end partial-birth abortion. In the Illinois Senate, a bipartisan majority passed legislation against that practice. Senator Obama opposed that bill. He voted against it in committee, and voted “present” on the Senate floor. In that legislature, “present” is how you vote when you’re against something, but don’t want to be held to account.

Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan, a Democrat, described partial-birth abortion as “too close to infanticide.” Barack Obama thinks it’s a constitutional right, but he is wrong.

Most troubling, as a state senator, Barack Obama wouldn’t even stand up for the rights of infants born alive during an abortion. These infants – often babies with special needs – are simply left to die.

In 2002, Congress unanimously passed a federal law to require medical care for those babies who survive an abortion. They’re living, breathing babies, but Senator Obama describes them as “pre-viable.” This merciful law was called the Born Alive Infants Protection Act. Illinois had a version of the same law. Obama voted against it.

Asked about this vote, Senator Obama assured a reporter that he’d have voted “yes” on that bill if it had contained language similar to the federal version of the Born Alive Act. There’s just one little problem with that story: the language of both the state and federal bills was identical.

In short, Senator Obama is a politician who has long since left behind even the middle ground on the issue of life. He has sided with those who won’t even protect a child born alive. And this exposes the emptiness of his promises to move beyond the “old politics.”

In both parties, Americans have many concerns to be weighed in the votes they cast on November fourth. In times like these, with wars and a financial crisis, it’s easy to forget even as deep and abiding a concern as the right to life. And it seems our opponent hopes that you will forget. Like so much else in his agenda, he hopes you won’t notice how radical his ideas and record are until it’s too late.

But let there be no misunderstanding about the stakes.

A vote for Barack Obama is a vote for activist courts that will continue to smother the open and democratic debate we need on this issue, at both the state and federal level. A vote for Barack Obama would give the ultimate power over the issue of life to a politician who has never once done anything to protect the unborn. As Senator Obama told Pastor Rick Warren, it’s above his pay grade.

For a candidate who talks so often about “hope,” he offers no hope at all in meeting this great challenge to the conscience of America. There is a growing consensus in our country that we can overcome narrow partisanship on this issue, and bring all the resources of a generous country to the aid of both women in need and the child waiting to be born. We need more of the compassion and idealism that our opponent’s own party, at its best, once stood for. We need the clarity and conviction of leaders like the late Governor Bob Casey.

He represented a humanity that speaks to all of us – no matter what our party, our background, our faith, or our gender. And no matter your position on this sensitive subject, I hope that spirit will guide you on Election Day. I ask you to vote for McCain-Palin on the November fourth, and help us to bring this country together in the rational discussion of compassion and life.”

Association by Guilt

"[I'm] Guilty as sin, free as a bird!"
"I plead guilty, your Honor to all sixteen counts."

That's Barack Obama's political mentor Bill Ayers, his spiritual mentor Jeremiah Wright and his financial mentor Tony Rezko.

It is an odd collection of men proclaiming their own guilt. A bomb-maker who killed cops and bombed the family home of a judge. An America-Despising preacher of the Gospel of Hate, who, if he traded his dashikis for a bow tie, would be indistinguishable from Louis Farrkhan. And a one-man RICO case, a Chicago Machine fixer and siumlord Tony Rezko.

But they have one thing in common; a lifelong, close and mentoring relationship their pupil, a man who now wants to be the next president of the United States.

Take Tony Rezko. When Barack Obama went to the Illinois Senate, he forgot all about his promise to give tax cuts to 95% of all Illinois citizens. But he remembered to attend the fundraisers put on by Tony Rezko and to cash the checks Rezko was writing.

Rezko was a slumlord who qualified for farm subsidies by growing rats the size of cattle. He was helping to solve global warming by keeping the boilers off in his tenements.

You might think that Rezko was just the kind of guy our Hero might organize the community to stand up against. Sorry, kidz, but the Star Pitcher was already taking money from the other team to throw the game. Say it ain't so, Joe Biden!

Rezko was essentially contributing the rent reciepts of his frozen tenants to Obama.

When the hospital tripled her salary (with money appropriated by him!) Mr. & Mrs. Grievance decided they needed a new house to go along with their newly-exalted status.

The only time Barack Obama ever challenged Tony Rezko on a housing issue? It was when Obama demanded the indicted Rezko help him buy a new house!

Rezko gladly obliged, creating an obligation. It was a crooked sweetheart deal, and Obama still lives in that house today. My in-laws helped me buy a house--Obama's in-jails helped him.

And this is the guy who is going to bring "Change!"?

He has never stood up to his own party. He has never reached across the aisle on anything controversial. He's written more autobiographies than laws. He votes "present", evidently because the two opposing veiwpoints are just supposed to be grateful that they were once massaged by His Beautiful Mind.

Only twice has he stood on principle; once when he voted to abandon our troops in the field--which was actually a vote to surrender. And the other was when he voted to abandon whimpering, unwanted babies by tossing them into the broom closet at "Christ" Hospital, leaving them to die.

Did he ever "Change" the Chicago Machine? Yeah, he changed--the oil. And gapped the plugs. And lubed the Machine's gears.

And they lubed his.

I haven't even mentioned family friend and Cop-killer Bernadine Dohrn or Communist agitator Frank Marshall who was Obama'a father figure when he was abandoned, or his frequent dinner companion Khalidi, who was Arafat's spokesliar. Or even his association with the professional election-thiefs at ACORN.

As Goldfinger said:
"Mr Bond, they have a saying in Chicago: "Once is happenstance. Twice is coincidence. The third time it's enemy action.""

And a thirty thousand times? That's how many questionable friends Obama seems to have.

When a man knows every terrorist, bomber, Hate-preacher, fixer, election-stealer, Communist, slumlord, fraudster, ward-heeler, pinko, union thugee, backstairs Democrat party crawler, radical, zealot, grifter, escaped Quaker and furloughed Farsi in town--and they know him--then you have to say it's a feature, not a bug. It's a measure of character--or the lack thereof.

Instead of owning his choices in friends, Obama says "I never heard those sermons" and "He's just a guy in my neighborhood" and "That's not the Tony Rezko I knew." He's got more disclaimers than a blind lawyer at an OSHA-approved whorehouse. No wonder he wants to move out of the neighborhood--it's full of freaks. Trouble is, they're his freaks.

It's not Guilt by Association; in the immortal words of President Abraham Linkin Park "It is an Association of the Guilty, by the guilty and for the guilty, so that the guilty may not perish from the earth. Or even Chicago." I quote from memory.

An Association of the Guilty with only one polar magnet and one common bond:

Barack Hussein Obama.

Banned By The L.A. Times!

Here's the speech that the L.A. Times found so dangerous, not only did they censor it...they insisted it never even existed!

John McCain:

Even at this late hour in the campaign, there are essential things we don't know about Senator Obama or the record that he brings to this campaign.

We have all heard what he has said, but it is less clear what he has done or what he will do. What Senator Obama says today and what he has done in the past are often two different things. He has often changed his positions in this campaign, and the best way to determine where he would really take this country is to examine where he has tried to take it in the past.

My opponent has invited serious questioning by announcing a few weeks ago that he would quote -- "take off the gloves." Since then, whenever I have questioned his policies or his record, he has called me a liar.

Rather than answer his critics, Senator Obama will try to distract you from noticing that he never answers the serious and legitimate questions he has been asked. But let me reply in the plainest terms I know. I don't need lessons about telling the truth to American people. And were I ever to need any improvement in that regard, I probably wouldn't seek advice from a Chicago politician.

My opponent's touchiness every time he is questioned about his record should make us only more concerned. For a guy who's already authored two memoirs, he's not exactly an open book. It's as if somehow the usual rules don't apply, and where other candidates have to explain themselves and their records, Senator Obama seems to think he is above all that. Whatever the question, whatever the issue, there's always a back story with Senator Obama. All people want to know is: What has this man ever actually accomplished in government? What does he plan for America? In short: Who is the real Barack Obama? But ask such questions and all you get in response is another barrage of angry insults.

Our current economic crisis is a good case in point. What was his actual record in the years before the great economic crisis of our lifetimes?
This crisis started in our housing market in the form of subprime loans that were pushed on people who could not afford them. Bad mortgages were being backed by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and it was only a matter of time before a contagion of unsustainable debt began to spread. This corruption was encouraged by Democrats in Congress, and abetted by Senator Obama.

Senator Obama has accused me of opposing regulation to avert this crisis. I guess he believes if a lie is big enough and repeated often enough it will be believed. But the truth is I was the one who called at the time for tighter restrictions on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac that could have helped prevent this crisis from happening in the first place.
Senator Obama was silent on the regulation of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and his Democratic allies in Congress opposed every effort to rein them in. As recently as September of last year he said that subprime loans had been, quote, "a good idea." Well, Senator Obama, that "good idea" has now plunged this country into the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression.

To hear him talk now, you'd think he'd always opposed the dangerous practices at these institutions. But there is absolutely nothing in his record to suggest he did. He was surely familiar with the people who were creating this problem. The executives of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have advised him, and he has taken their money for his campaign.
He has received more money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac than any other senator in history, with the exception of the chairman of the committee overseeing them. Did he ever talk to the executives at Fannie and Freddie about these reckless loans? Did he ever discuss with them the stronger oversight I proposed? If Senator Obama is such a champion of financial regulation, why didn't he support these regulations that could have prevented this crisis in the first place? He won't tell you, but you deserve an answer.

Sure do.

Ya' know, when Democrats commanded the banks to make bad loans--or else--they just wanted to expand home ownership. They meant well. They always mean well.

They mean well when they ban drilling and gas goes to $5.00 a gallon.
They mean well when they want to teach kindergartners about sex acts.
They mean well when they stay up nights worrying about the Precious Rights of killers and terrorists.
They mean well when they say an American president should meet unconditionally as an equal with every Thug With a Flag on the face of the planet.
They meant well when they replaced poor fathers with welfare checks.
They mean well when they ban new refineries, therefore squeezing them into one hurricane-prone area, thus causing gas shortages throughout the South.

They always "mean well"--they just don't do well.

And it's high time John McCain said so. Make 'em famous, John.

Rev. Wright and Mr. Wrong

From Tammy Bruce's blog:

"Looming very large in Obama's background is the Trinity Church, with his mentor and close friend Jeremiah Wright at the helm. Obama spent more than 20 years in that church. Wright officiated at Obama's marriage and baptized his children. The Trinity Church took the greater portion of his charitable contributions. This was a very big part of Obama's life...at least until a few weeks ago. If we want to know his true inclinations, I would argue that his association with this church tells us more than anything else about him.

We've heard Jeremiah Wright's sermons damning America and applauding the 9/11 attacks as our just deserts. Go to YouTube and refresh your memory if you need to. We've heard Wright's paranoid rants about sinister plots to spread AIDS, and Michael Pfleger's race baiting outburst against Hillary Clinton. We've heard the crowds react to these tirades with thunderous applause. It's clear that, whatever else may go on there, hatemongering and fear is the glue that holds this group together. Any decent man would leave that place immediately. If you had heard this sort of stuff from your own church or social group, wouldn't you have walked out and never returned? What can you say about a man that stays there and then brings the kids?

At this point I'm scratching my head in puzzlement and wondering how Obama's candidacy didn't come to a complete halt when his background became known. He stood at the forefront of an organization that is on the record in promoting a hateful, racist agenda. He did this over the entirety of his adult life, only stepping away reluctantly and when compelled as a matter of political expediency. Something has gone horribly wrong with a political party that takes this damaged man and pushes him to the head of the crowd."

Obama spent almost half his life in those pews. Even on the curve we're told we have to grade him on, after a decade or so you've got to say Obama must agree with his pastor.

There are ten thousand black pastors and churches in Chicago, but this where Obama felt most comfortable. Wright is a hateful, ungrateful unpatriotic nutcase. And Obama chose to follow him.

And now we're supposed to follow the follower?

Like hell.

Ayers America

From Wikipedia:

Bill Ayers: "Terrorists terrorize, they kill innocent civilians, while we organized and agitated. Terrorists destroy randomly, while our actions bore, we hoped, the precise stamp of a cut diamond. Terrorists intimidate, while we aimed only to educate. No, we're not terrorists."

No, of course not. Your just an "educator". Who "organized". That's why you and Barack organized and worked together on education issues for years at the Annenberg Challenge foundation. Remember when Barack used to tout it as a reason to elect him? He doesn't do that much anymore. I wonder why.

Hey, Professor--maybe it was because of this field trip:

"...a pipe bomb filled with heavy metal staples and lead bullet projectiles was set off on the ledge of a window at the Park Station of the San Francisco Police Department. In the blast, Brian V. McDonnell, a police sergeant, was fatally wounded while Robert Fogarty, another police officer, received severe wounds to his face and legs and was partially blinded.

Weatherman leader Bernardine Dohrn has been suspected of involvement in the February 16, 1970, bombing of the Park Police Station in San Francisco. At the time, Dohrn was said to be living with a Weatherman cell in a houseboat in Sausalito, California, unnamed law enforcement sources later told KRON-TV. An investigation into the case was reopened in 1999, and a San Francisco grand jury looked into the incident, but no indictments followed, and no one was ever arrested for the bombing.

An FBI informant, Larry Grathwohl, who successfully penetrated the organization from the late summer of 1969 until April 1970, later testified to a U.S. Senate subcommittee that Bill Ayers, then a high-ranking member of the organization and a member of its Central Committee (but not then Dohrn's husband), had said Dohrn constructed and planted the bomb. Grathwohl testified that Ayers had told him specifically where the bomb was placed (on a window ledge) and what kind of shrapnel was put in it. Grathwohl said Ayers was emphatic, leading Grathwohl to believe Ayers either was present at some point during the operation or had heard about it from someone who was there. ... In 2008, author David Freddoso commented that "Ayers and Dohrn escaped prosecution only because of government misconduct in collecting evidence against them".

Hey, teacher; leave those cops alone!

You and your wife "educated" the hell out of those cops, Bill. "That'll teach 'em!", eh? But if I'm not mistaken, there's no statute of limitations on that kind of education.

Here's the thing, though; Barack Obama is a man so exquisitely sensitive he can detect bigotry in a water bill. He's so magnificently perceptive, he can sense racism in a racing form.

Yet he spent the last 20 years in and at the same boardrooms, living rooms and dining room tables with Ayers and Dohrn...and he didn't notice they were sociopathic killers!

I suppose that might help facilitate the small talk in any unconditional meetings with Ahmadinijad or Castro, but for most of us it's disqualifying. Because the only other option is this; Barack Obama DID notice they were mad killers--

he just didn't care.

"S.O.S.! S.O.S.!"

Save Our Savior! Save Our Savior!

The Missionary Media has embarked on a three-ring project to prop up the Big Top of Brother O's Travellin' Salvation Show. They've decided that a 20-yr. partnership with a bomb-throwing commie cop-killer isn't germane. Or even East Germane. They are determined to save Sniffles the Candidate from the Cold Night Ayers.

CNN informs us that BFF Barack n' Bill "weren't really close". If by "not close" you mean the Siamese surgery was successful.

CNN also says Prof. Bill Ayers is probably unlikely to bomb Washington landmarks again or make more nail-bombs to place at soldier-attended dances or murder any more policemen.

That's great--somebody inform the widows and orphans.

The AP says it's RACIST!(tm.) for Gov. Palin to even mention terrorists. What's that you say? Bill Ayers is a white guy? A white guy who helped kill Nyack's first black police officer? No matter!

You see, other terrorists besides Bill Ayers have swarthy skin. I don't really have to spell it out for you, do I, George Wallace?

Funny thing is, by censoring all this for as long as they could, the Keep-'em-Ignorant-Media has kept this fresh until now. Otherwise, it would have been Clintonian "old news".

Obama says that these "Association-by-Guilt"-issues don't matter because they "have nothing to do with you", the voters.

Well, if Obama stripped down to a brushed alpaca-leather loincloth, slathered himself in wild mountain honey, put on the Kenny G records and performed ancient Andean UFO-summoning dances while nervously petting psychoactive iguanas, that wouldn't have anything to do with the voters either.

But they might like to know.

The Obama Campaign says that Prof. Ayers once gave a lecture or something at the University of South Carolina, and Gov. Sanford, a McCain supporter is on the board. Therefore...it's John McCain who is connected to Bill Ayers!

Let's leave alone for a moment the fact that if Gov. Sanford had intervened at the university, the Obamites would have howled "Fascism!". And leave alone the curious fact that Academia chose to reward Ayers for his murderships with a professorship. And the title "Terrorist Emeritus".

But isn't it just a little over the top to imply that while John McCain was being tortured in a North Vietnamese prison camp, he was actually on the same team with Bill Ayers, who was tossing bombs for the Viet Cong here in America? You really should be ashamed of yourselves.

The Obama Camp is so nervous about this, they've even constructed a faux history entitled "When Bill Met Barack", which contains the phoniest timeline since OJ hit his head on Kato Kaelin's air-conditioner in the alley.

Every male influence in Barack Obama's life has been deeply troubling.

His father-figure mentor was the Communist agitator "Frank".
His spiritual mentor is an America-hating Louie Farrakan-clone.
His financial mentor is the convicted Chicago Machine mobster living next door.
His political mentor is a bomb-maker, a cop-killer and an unrepentant terrorist who only wishes he had killed more.

And most disturbing of all, his vice-presidential mentor is Joe Biden.

Just kidding, Joe.

Sort of.

"Guilty as sin, free as a bird."

That's Ayers describing himself. Somebody please tell the Save-Our-Savior-Media. And tell them what they've always told us:

Politics and religion don't mix.

The Lone Survivor

Last night, from the comfort and security of my home in America, I was channel-surfing when I came upon Navy SEAL Marcus Luttrell talking about his new book, "The Lone Survivor" on C-SPAN. It tells the story of his brothers who gave it all for us.

The reporter asked him how the press coverage of the war was. He said that the real story was much different and if he wanted to know what was going on, he would call his friends overseas. The reporter then asked how other Americans could possibly get the real story. I'm quoting from memory now, but I believe he said:

"Join the military. Pick up a rifle and help us win." Sweet.

The Navy Cross-winner in his own words:

Stuck here in this flying warehouse, this utterly primitive form of passenger transportation, there was a certain amount of cheerful griping and moaning. But if the six of us were inserted into some hellhole of a battleground, soaking wet, freezing cold, wounded, trapped, outnumbered, fighting for our lives, you would not hear one solitary word of complaint. That’s the way of our brotherhood. It’s a strictly American brotherhood, mostly forged in blood. Hard-won, unbreakable. Built on a shared patriotism, shared courage, and shared trust in one another. There is no fighting force in the world quite like us.

The flight crew checked we were all strapped in, and then those thunderous Boeing engines roared. Jesus, the noise was unbelievable. I might just as well have been sitting in the gearbox. The whole aircraft shook and rumbled as we charged down the runway, taking off to the southwest, directly into the desert wind which gusted out of the mainland Arabian peninsula. There were no other passengers on board, just the flight crew and, in the rear, us, headed out to do God’s work on behalf of the U.S. government and our commander in chief, President George W. Bush. In a sense, we were all alone. As usual.

...[S]omehow as we climbed into the dark skies, we felt we were leaving behind all that was god-awful in the northern reaches of the gulf and embarking on a brand-new mission, one that we understood.

In Baghdad we were up against an enemy we often could not see and were obliged to get out there and find. And when we found him, we scarcely knew who he was — al Qaeda or Taliban, Shiite or Sunni, Iraqi or foreign, a freedom fighter for Saddam or an insurgent fighting for some kind of a different god from our own, a god who somehow sanctioned murder of innocent civilians, a god who’d effectively booted the Ten Commandments over the touchline and out of play. ...

Afghanistan. This was very different. Those mountains up in the northeast, the western end of the mighty range of the Hindu Kush, were the very same mountains where the Taliban had sheltered the lunatics of al Qaeda, shielded the crazed followers of Osama bin Laden while they plotted the attacks on the World Trade Center in New York on 9/11. ...

Thus far, those mountain men had been kicking some serious ass in their skirmishes with our military. Which was more or less why the brass had sent for us. When things get very rough, they usually send for us. ...

And that was why all of us were here. Our mission may have been strategic, it may have been secret. However, one point was crystalline clear, at least to the six SEALs in that rumbling Hercules high above the Arabian desert. This was payback time for the World Trade Center. We were coming after the guys who did it. If not the actual guys, then their blood brothers, the lunatics who still wished us dead and might try it again. Same thing, right?

That's right, sir.

If you ever feel like quitting, remember how this sailor crawled seven miles while wounded to a village, not knowing if they would help him or betray him.

And if you ever feel like quitting in this political contest over the next month, remember that we have thousands of servicemembers who are depending on us to give them a real Commander-in-Chief, and not some terrorist's Boy Toy.

They did their duty. It's your turn now.

Armor For the Troops

Ephesians 6:

10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
11 Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes.
12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.
14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place,
15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.
17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.
